OUR NEXT STEP: FROM MEETING PROTOCOL TO SCOUT

OUR NEXT STEP: FROM MEETING PROTOCOL TO SCOUT

In a small Texas town, Pat Bingham started a journey from a cattle ranch that would shape the life sciences industry. Beginning with organizing incentive trips around major sporting events in the 1980s, she shifted her focus to Investigators' Meetings in the mid-90s. Despite personal challenges, including her husband's battle with cancer, Pat's resilience led to the birth of Meeting Protocol from her home in late 1995.

The company quickly grew, brought Pat's children aboard and expanded globally by 2000 to become Meeting Protocol Worldwide. For more details on our rich history and evolution, we encourage you to visit our History page.

Fast forward to 2024: In our relentless pursuit of agility, resourcefulness, and excellence, we have chosen to forge a new path under a new name: Scout. This rebranding reflects our dedication to innovation and patient-centricity, positioning us to expertly navigate the complexities of today's dynamic life sciences landscape. The Journey So Far

Our journey – from Meeting Protocol to Meeting Protocol Worldwide, and now to Scout – has been marked by a series of significant milestones and achievements that have shaped who we are today.

2023 was a particularly memorable year for us. Paige Bingham took over as CEO upon Pat’s retirement. We welcomed four dynamic new executives to our leadership team. We were also proud recipients of the prestigious 2023 MedTech Breakthrough Award for Best Patient Portal, a testament to our dedication to improving the patient experience. A top-five pharmaceutical company even designated Scout Clinical as their preferred provider for clinical trial patient travel and payment services, further reinforcing our reputation for high-quality service.

As we reflect on our journey so far, we are incredibly proud of our legacy and achievements under the Meeting Protocol Worldwide name. We’re even more excited about our future as Scout. As CEO Paige Bingham aptly put it, "Our rebranding as Scout signifies a new era of growth and commitment to making the complex easier, made possible by our decades of life sciences industry experience."

From Meeting Protocol Worldwide to Scout: Why the Change?

Given the reputation and goodwill we’ve built as Meeting Protocol Worldwide, the decision to rebrand to Scout was not made lightly. It was the result of a comprehensive process reflecting our evolution as a company and our vision for the future. As we grew into a truly global operation, so did our services and our ambition. We realized that our name needed to encapsulate more than just our origins. It needed to reflect our mission, our spirit, and most importantly, our commitment to sites, sponsors, CROs, and patients around the world.

The term "scout" has been in use since the 14th century, but the role of scouts dates back to the dawn of civilization. Scouts have always been pioneers, venturing out ahead of the pack to gather vital information, map uncharted territories, and pave the way for others. Throughout history, they've embodied innovation, leadership, and advancement: characteristics that we strive to embody in our work.

The name Scout was chosen because it perfectly embodies these values. It captures our spirit of innovation, our leadership in the industry, and our commitment to advancing the field of life sciences. As Scout, we continue to draw on our global industry experience and observations to meet your timeline and requirements. From the big picture to the smallest detail, you can be confident that we've thought out every aspect of your needs well ahead of time.

In essence, our rebranding as Scout signifies more than just a new name; it represents our unwavering commitment to innovation, leadership, and advancement in the life sciences industry. It reflects our dedication to making the complex easier, and our promise to always be one step ahead, paving the way for you to follow.
